Pantera Capital Meetup

Pantera Capital is one of the oldest crypto funds based in San Francisco. It operates ICO funds, hedge funds, Bitcoin funds and other types of funds that invest in long terms. They has great influence from its establishment to the present. The fund's partners, Paul and Joey, will participate in this event. In the first half, we will introduce Pantera Capital. In the second half, we will discuss various topics such as VC situation in the US, security tokens, DeFi, etc. with Masa Masujima as a moderator.

JOEY KRUG

CO-CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER

JOEY joined Pantera Capital in 2017.He started programming with Applesoft BASIC when he was in junior high school. He majored in computer science at university, and when he joined Pantera Capital, he built Bitcoin payment software with audio. JOEY is also co-founder of Auger, a distributed forecast market protocol.

PAUL VERADITTAKIT

PARTNER

PAUL manages hedge funds and venture funds at Pantera Capital. After participating in 2014, he formed the second venture fund of Pantera Capital and worked on many investment projects. Prior to joining Pantera Capital, he was an associate with Strive Capital and was involved in early stage mobile app deals.

Masa Masujima

He belongs to a law firm, Mori Hamada & Matsumoto. As an attorney specializing in M&A and corporate finance, he is active mainly in finance business governance, investment projects and venture finance.

Pantera Capitalは、サンフランシスコを拠点に活動する、最も歴史が長いクリプトファンドの一つです。 ロングタームで投資をするICOファンド、ヘッジファンド、Bitcoinファンドと複数種類のファンドを運営しており、創業から今に至るまで大きい影響力を持つファンドです。 本イベントでは、 同ファンドのパートナーのPaul氏とJoey氏が参加します。 前半ではPantera Capitalの紹介、後半では増島弁護士をモデレータに米国のVC事情やセキュリティトークン、DeFiなど幅広いテーマのディスカッションを試みます。

JOEY氏は2017年にPantera Capitalに参画しています。Joey氏は中学校在学時代にApplesoft BASICでプログラミングを開始しました。 大学ではコンピュータサイエンスを専攻、Pantera Capitalに参画する際には、音声付きのBitcoinの決済ソフトウェアを構築しました。 JOEY氏は、分散型予測市場のプロトコルのAugerの共同創業者でもあります。

PAUL氏は、Pantera Capital でヘッジファンドとベンチャーファンドの２つをマネジメントしています。 2014年に参画したあと、Pantera Capitalの2号目のベンチャーファンドを組成し、多くの投資案件を手掛けました。 Pantera Capitalに参画以前は、Strive Capitalでアソシエイトをしており、アーリーステージのモバイルアプリの案件に関わっていました。
